Nuevo Leon is Mexico's industrial powerhouse, and Monterrey its mountain-ringed capital: a modern business city backed by the unmistakable silhouette of Cerro de la Silla. The city's reinvention of its old steelworks as Fundidora Park is one of Mexico's great urban projects.

Around the city: the Cola de Caballo waterfall, the Santiago pueblo magico, and the Grutas de Garcia caves.
