Guerrero holds two of Mexico's classic destinations at opposite ends of the spectrum: Acapulco, the original jet-set resort, and Taxco, the hillside silver town of white houses and a baroque masterpiece church. Between them, Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo pair a planned resort with a working fishing town.
Taxco's Santa Prisca church is one of Mexico's great baroque buildings, and the town's silver workshops still sell directly. Acapulco's La Quebrada cliff divers remain the coast's signature spectacle.
