New Jersey's Shore is the classic American beach summer: 200 km of boardwalks, from the Victorian gingerbread of Cape May to the amusements of Wildwood and the casinos of Atlantic City. The diner count (over 500) is the highest per capita in the country.
Beyond the beach: Princeton's university town, the Delaware Water Gap's hiking, and the Pine Barrens' cranberry bogs. The PATH and NJ Transit put Manhattan 20 minutes from Hoboken and Jersey City's waterfront.
