Casablanca-Settat Travel Guide

Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and its economic engine: a working metropolis of Art Deco boulevards, the great Hassan II Mosque, and the Corniche at Ain Diab. It is not a museum city like Fès or Marrakech; its appeal is modern Moroccan life at full volume.
The region runs down the Atlantic to El Jadida, the 16th-century Portuguese fortified city of Mazagan (UNESCO 2004) with its famous cistern, and the Oualidia lagoon, Morocco's oyster capital.
