Lindos is the whitewashed village beneath the acropolis of Rhodes, where the Temple of Athena Lindia crowns a cliff above St. Paul's Bay. The car-free lanes are lined with the captains' houses of its seafaring past. It is one of the most photographed places in Greece and busiest at midday; early morning is best.
