Small market town in the far north of Ha Giang province, on the Ha Giang Loop route. It is the gateway to the Ma Pi Leng Pass and the Nho Que River gorge below it. The Khau Vai Love Market, held once a year nearby, draws Hmong and other highland groups from across the region.
