Nymfaio is a stone-built mountain village at 1,350 meters, restored to the point of being called one of Greece's prettiest villages. It is home to the Arcturos bear and wolf sanctuary, which rehabilitates rescued animals in a natural enclosure nearby. The village's silverworking past is remembered in its mansions and the old schoolhouse.
