Edessa is the town of waterfalls: the Edesseos river drops over a cliff in the town center in a cascade you can walk behind. Known in antiquity as the first capital of the Macedonian kingdom, it later became a center of the textile industry. The waterfalls park, with its bridges and old watermills, is the main draw.
