Doğubayazıt

Doğubayazıt is the frontier town beneath Mount Ararat, dominated by the Ishak Pasha Palace on its cliff: an 18th-century palace-fortress blending Ottoman, Persian and Armenian styles. Climbers stage here for Ararat, and the meteor crater and the Noah's Ark site lie nearby.
