Ahlat

Ahlat is the Seljuk cemetery town on Lake Van's northwest shore, where thousands of 12th- to 15th-century carved tombstones stand in the great Meydanlık cemetery. The lakeside setting makes it one of the most evocative stops on the Van circuit.
