A Pueblo Mágico on Lake Avándaro, Mexico City's favorite weekend escape for sailing, paragliding, and lakeside dining. Each winter, monarch butterflies overwinter at the nearby Piedra Herrada sanctuary. The whitewashed town climbs the hills above the water.
