Saltillo

The capital of Coahuila, founded in 1577, famous for its colorful sarapes woven in the nearby workshops. The cathedral and the Alameda park anchor the historic center, and the Museo del Desierto is one of Mexico's best natural history museums. It sits in the cool foothills of the Sierra Madre Oriental.
