Real de Asientos

A colonial silver-mining town and Pueblo Mágico on the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, the UNESCO-listed silver route. Tunnels run beneath the town, and the Nuestra Señora de Belén church holds a famous articulated Christ figure. The surrounding semi-desert is dotted with old haciendas.
