A desert oasis where crystal-clear spring-fed pools, the pozas, dot a valley of white gypsum dunes. The Cuatrociénegas flora and fauna protection area is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with unique endemic species. It is also the birthplace of revolutionary leader Venustiano Carranza.
