A colonial town next to Paquimé, the UNESCO-listed adobe city that was the great trading center of the ancient Southwest. The site's multi-story ruins and the Museo de las Culturas del Norte explain a thousand years of desert civilization. Mata Ortiz pottery, made in the nearby village, is world famous.
