Guanajuato City Travel Guide

Guanajuato is the ravine city: a UNESCO-listed tangle of colourful houses climbing the hillsides, with traffic routed through underground streets. It is the most atmospheric of Mexico's colonial cities and the home of the Cervantino festival.
The Jardin de la Union is the social heart, the Teatro Juarez its grand stage, and the Callejones its romantic alleys. The Pipila monument above the city gives the classic panorama.
