Ancient Sites

Greece is the densest concentration of ancient sites on earth: the Acropolis, Delphi, Olympia, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Delos, Knossos. Eighteen Greek sites are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The rule: go at the 8am opening, bring water and a hat, and let the stones speak before the crowds arrive.
