A Bay of Fundy port town famous for its scallops, the large sweet scallops harvested from the bay's cold waters. It is the mainland terminal for the ferry to Saint John, New Brunswick, and the gateway to whale watching on nearby Brier Island. Each August the town celebrates its harvest with the Digby Scallop Days festival.
