The heart of the Klondike Gold Rush, at the confluence of the Yukon and Klondike rivers. Boardwalks, false-front buildings, and the Palace Grand Theatre keep 1898 alive, and summer brings the midnight sun. It is also home to the infamous Sourtoe Cocktail at the Downtown Hotel, where the brave drink a shot garnished with a preserved toe.
