South (Sud) pairs dense rainforest with the country's best-known beaches. This is where Cameroon goes on holiday: white sand, grilled fish, and the astonishing sight of a waterfall dropping straight into the sea.
Kribi is the classic beach town, 7-8 km north of the Lobe Falls. Further south, Campo Ma'an National Park protects forest elephants and gorillas down to the Atlantic, and sea turtles nest at Ebodje from November to March.
