By air
Domestic flights link Douala, Yaounde, Garoua, Maroua and Ngaoundere (Camair-Co). Douala International (DLA), about 10 km from the city, is the main international gateway; Yaounde Nsimalen (NSI) is about 20 km south of the capital.
By train
Camrail runs Intercity trains between Douala and Yaounde (about 262 km) and an overnight sleeper between Yaounde and Ngaoundere (about 626 km): the classic way north.
By road
Intercity buses are well organised with reserved seats. Bush taxis and moto-taxis cover towns locally.
Roads outside the main tarred axes can be rough, especially in the rainy season (roughly July to October in the south).
