What to expect
Douala and Yaounde have international-standard hotels (Hilton Yaounde, Akwa Palace and Pullman in Douala, Onomo and Ibis in both cities).
Outside the big cities, expect comfortable mid-range hotels and guesthouses; in Kribi and Limbe there are beach hotels and lodges. Book ahead in December (Ngondo, holidays) and around the Nguon festival.
