Mbongo Tchobi
Mbongo Tchobi
Mbongo tchobi is the Bassa people's black soup: a dark, intensely spiced broth of native herbs and spices, cooked with fish or meat.
The black colour comes from the roasted spice mix. It is one of the boldest flavours in Cameroonian cooking and a point of pride in the Littoral.
