The largest island in Ha Long Bay's archipelago, with a national park covering its jungle interior. Cat Ba town is the base for cruises into Lan Ha Bay and treks to the Ngu Lam viewpoint. The Cat Ba langur, among the world's rarest primates, survives in the park.
