Safranbolu

Safranbolu is the best-preserved Ottoman market town in Turkey, a UNESCO site of half-timbered houses, caravanserais and coppersmiths. It grew rich on the saffron trade that gave it its name, and the Çarşı old quarter is a walk through the 18th century.
