Ayvalık

Ayvalık is the olive-oil capital of the Aegean, a former Greek town of stone houses facing the island of Cunda across the bay. Breakfast tables groan with local oil, the Ayvalık tost (toasted sandwich) is a local institution, and boats run to the offshore islands.
