Assos

Assos is an ancient Aegean port beneath the stone village of Behramkale, where Aristotle ran a philosophy school in the 4th century BC. The Temple of Athena crowns the acropolis with views across the strait to Lesbos, and the old harbour below is one of the prettiest coves on this coast.
