Akyaka

Akyaka is the quiet village at the head of the Gökova Gulf, where the icy Azmak river meets the sea and kitesurfers work the bay. Its distinctive wooden-balconied Ula houses, designed by architect Nail Çakırhan, won him an Aga Khan architecture award.
