Cappadocia

Cappadocia is the landscape that looks invented: volcanic tuff eroded into fairy chimneys, carved into churches, houses and whole underground cities. At sunrise, a hundred balloons rise over it.
Göreme is the base; the valleys are for walking, the underground cities for descending, and the balloon flight is the reason many people come to Turkey at all.
