Imlil 4.6

Marrakech-Safi, Morocco

Imlil is the trailhead village for Jebel Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa, in the High Atlas about 65 km south of Marrakech.

Trekkers base themselves here for the two-day ascent, and its walnut groves and mountain gîtes make it a fine stop even without a summit bid.
