Yuriria

A lakeside town on the Laguna de Yuriria, an artificial lake built in 1548 that is considered one of Mexico's earliest hydraulic works. The massive Augustinian ex-convent dominates the center with its fortress-like walls. Fishing and lakeside restaurants are the local draw.
