Tula

Tula de Allende, site of the Toltec capital whose ruins hold the famous Atlantes, four-meter warrior columns carved in stone. The archaeological zone includes pyramids, ball courts, and the Coatepantli serpent wall. Not to be confused with the town of the same name in Tamaulipas.
