Tecate
A small border town in the mountains east of Tijuana, named for the Tecate brewery founded here in 1943. It is known for its sweet bread, the bakery-lined main street, and a slower pace than its neighbors. The surrounding hills hold ranchos and Kumeyaay heritage sites.
