Palizada

A riverfront town in the wetlands of western Campeche, designated a Pueblo Mágico in 2010. Wooden houses with tiled roofs line streets near the Palizada river, a tributary rich in birdlife. It is a quiet gateway to the Pantanos de Centla biosphere.
