An oasis town on the Mulegé River where it meets Bahía de Concepción, shaded by date palms. The 1705 Santa Rosalía mission sits above the river, and ancient cave paintings hide in the surrounding sierras. The bay's white-sand beaches, like Santispac, are among Baja's calmest swimming spots.
