Mineral de Pozos

A former mining boomtown in the semi-desert, abandoned when the mines played out and now a Pueblo Mágico of crumbling haciendas and silent streets. The Escuela Modelo, with its French-style facade, is the grandest ruin. Artists and weekend visitors have given it a quiet second life.
