Mazamitla

A pine-forest mountain town in the Sierra del Tigre, nicknamed the Mexican Alps for its alpine cabins and cool air. It is a popular weekend escape from Guadalajara for horseback riding, waterfall hikes, and canopy tours. Winter brings mist and the occasional cold snap.
