Mahahual

A laid-back beach town on the Costa Maya with a long malecon of palapa bars and restaurants. Cruise ships call at its pier, but divers come for the Banco Chinchorro atoll offshore, a protected reef full of wrecks and coral gardens. The pace here is slow and sandy.
