Chiapa de Corzo
Chiapa de Corzo
A Pueblo Mágico on the Grijalva River, famous for the 16th-century La Pila fountain in its main square and for the Parachicos festival, a UNESCO Intangible Heritage celebration each January. It is the gateway to the Sumidero Canyon, whose thousand-meter walls are best seen by boat. Lacquerware is the local craft.
