Trinidad is the 1514 colonial town frozen in cobblestone: Plaza Mayor, the yellow Santísima Trinidad church, and some of the best-preserved Spanish colonial streets in the Americas. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the classic Havana-and-beyond stop. Playa Ancón, 12km south, is the beach.
