The city across the Ottawa River from Parliament Hill, part of the National Capital Region. It holds the Canadian Museum of History, with its Grand Hall of totem poles and sweeping views back at the Ottawa skyline. Behind the city stretches Gatineau Park, 361 square kilometres of forest with the Mackenzie King Estate and famous fall colours.
